We work in West Cornwall which, despite it’s beauty and remoteness, suffers from significant social and economic deprivation. Children and young people often grow up in chaotic and over-crowded households. Emotional and practical support is often missing and they are exposed to drug and alcohol misuse. The consequences for the lives of young people are stark.

Trelya is a completely independent charitable organisation and relies on grants and donations to fund our much needed services. We receive no regular funding from local or central government sources. 99% of Trelya’s income is spent on charitable work.

Trelya’s team of dedicated and professional youth workers are here to give whatever support and help children and young people need. The centre is open five days a week, 10 am until 10 pm, including much needed activity provision on Friday nights.

Trelya provides an outstanding service to vulnerable young people living in a deprived area, incorporating both education about alcohol and illegal drug use and support for individuals with established or developing problems.
